Planting Area Distribution of Early Rice in Sanya, Hainan Province, China from 2019 to 2024 (10 m)

In March 2022, the team conducted an in-depth survey of the distribution of paddy fields in Sanya City. All members held handheld GPS devices and combined Google Map HD images to collect on-site data. After careful proofreading and visual interpretation, the data of 10,019.7 hectares of paddy fields were successfully collected. Following this investigation, in April 2024, I once again conducted field visits to the rice planting concentration areas in Yazhou District and Tianya District of Sanya, and obtained a total of 441 hectares of early rice planting area in 2024 in Sanya.Based on the above field survey data, this team developed a rice remote sensing recognition framework suitable for humid and cloudy areas. In this framework, rice growth-related vegetation index (NDVI, LSWI, NDWI) is integrated into the process of remote sensing image synthesis, and the midyear value of vegetation index is used as the quality band to eliminate the interference of cloud cover to a certain extent, and the commonly used image pixel median synthesis method is used to form four sets of rice image data in Sanya City. Four sets of image data were combined with ResNet-34 deep learning model to build a rice planting area recognition model. Based on the rice planting distribution recognition model, the team used LSWI synthetic remote sensing image to inversion the planting area of early rice in Sanya, and the results were uploaded to the compressed package.
