资源简介:

The Jupyter Notebook 'thick_tube_fsi.ipynb' in this dataset generates all the plots in the manuscript "Flow rate--pressure drop relations for new configurations of slender compliant tubes arising in microfluidics experiments" by Wang, Pande and Christov (2022).

A python distribution is required to run the notebook. The notebook has several sections, each of which produces a corresponding plot from the manuscript. Some plots are based on analytical formulas derived in the manuscript, while others require the numerical solution of differential or algebraic/transcendental equations. Standard methods from numpy, scipy and matplotlib are used for numerical calculations, including solving of nonlinear boundary value problems, and plotting.

The two files 'a.txt' and 'b.txt' in this dataset contain the simulated displacement field at a prescribed streamwise location in both configurations considered, as described in the manuscript. These two files were exported from Paraview.

The zip file 'Thick_tube_simulations.zip' in this data set contains folders with the setup and 3D simulation data used/produced by svFSI. A SimVascular installation with working svFSI is required to run the simulations. The subfolder 'Configuration1a' corresponds to configuration I in the manuscript, with the soft wall thickness of 25 micrometers. The mesh files, 'svFSI.inp' and a sample result '300.vtu' file at the flow rate of 300 microliter/min are provided. The subfolder 'Configuration1b' corresponds to configuration I in the manuscript, with the soft wall thickness of 200 micrometers. The mesh files, 'svFSI.inp' and a sample result '400.vtu' file at the flow rate of 400 microliter/min are provided. The subfolder 'Configuration2' corresponds to configuration II in the manuscript. The mesh files, 'svFSI.inp' and a sample result '400.vtu' file at the flow rate of 400 microliter/min are provided.

Inferences based on these results/plots and discussion of their meaning/implications can be found in the published manuscript.
