Understanding how small molecules interact and impact riboswitch activity and develop potent, selective ligands for RNA targets. Biophysical and biochemical assays using these synthetic ligands demonstrate selective binding. Structure probing on RNA was done on the riboswitch aptamers to demonstrate conformational changes similar to that induced by cognate ligand.
