Great Crested Newt Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Monitoring Data

Natural Resources Wales monitoring data for Great Crested Newts on Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) in Wales where Great Crested Newts (GCN) are a special feature. Includes records for other amphibians.

Currently the monitoring covers three sites in North East Wales:
1) Johnstown Newt Sites SAC
2) Deeside and Buckley Newt Sites SAC
3) Halkyn Mountain/Mynydd Helygain SAC

The reports also include collations of historical records however, these are not included here as they are not owned by NRW and are therefore omitted from this published dataset.
