资源简介:
The dataset support a paper, and the abstract is as follows: "The effective stress of marine sediments frequently changes due to natural or artificial factors, and a wide variety of processes basically need to account for responses of marine sediments to changes in the effective stress. Marine sediments with the presence of natural gas hydrates have been treated as a potential energy storage, and the depressurization induced production efficiency is largely controlled by the effective absolute permeability of hydrate-bearing sediments. However, how the effective absolute permeability evolves during depressurization remains elusive, and whether the presence of natural gas hydrates in pores hinders or facilitates the effective absolute permeability is still unclear. This study explores response characteristics of the effective absolute permeability in hydrate-bearing sands to a cyclic loading by performing isotropic compression/swelling and water flow tests. Results show that the presence of methane hydrate reduces the void ratio decrease but enhances the effective void ratio decrease during isotropic loading. The effective absolute permeability of hydrate-bearing sands decreases with the increase of hydrate saturation and mean effective stress, and the permeability stress sensitivity is stronger with higher hydrate saturation and lower mean effective stresses. The introduced model could precisely predict the void ratio change during isotropic loading and unloading. Coefficients of the strengthening, normal filling, and enhanced filling effects are firstly proposed and calculated to quantitatively decouple the positive and negative effects of methane hydrate, and the negative filling effect is one order of magnitude stronger than the positive strengthening effect for quartz sands."
