This corpus-based investigation of the verbs End and Stop is significant for the following reasons: the study provides a deeper comprehension of two synonyms in terms of their meanings, degrees of formality, collocations, and grammatical patterns. Consequently, it is essential to raise awareness that synonyms cannot always be used interchangeably. In synonym studies, corpora can be utilized to determine the formality levels, collocations, and grammatical structures of each word. The study can be used as a guide and an example for language learners who wish to examine various collections of synonyms using corpus data. The result as a result, after analyzing the preceding discussion, the researcher has reached three primary conclusions: The first is that, while end and stop are synonymous, they cannot be used similarly in all contexts and topics. The second: from the result, the two verbs share a few features that are the same in term of collocations, degrees of formality, and grammatical patterns. And they also present differences in terms of collocations, degrees of formality, and grammatical patterns. The third: the researcher concluded that end and stop are not perfect or absolute synonyms.
