Simulated User–ChatGPT Dialogue Dataset on Gender Equality Perspectives

This dataset comprises simulated dialogue exchanges between real users and ChatGPT, collected to explore ChatGPT’s perspectives on gender equality through different prompting strategies. The study involved three types of prompts: specific prompts aligned with relevant measurement scales, open-ended prompts eliciting general opinions, and contextual prompts where the user or ChatGPT adopts a specific social identity. This dataset contains over 300 simulated dialogue exchanges between real users and ChatGPT, collected to explore ChatGPT’s perspectives on gender equality through different prompting strategies. The dialogues were analyzed using grounded theory to examine variations in ChatGPT’s gender equality-related outputs across different questioning modes. This dataset supports replication studies, further qualitative analysis, and investigations into AI content bias.
