An increasing degree of turbulence, instability, uncertainty, complexity, and
ambiguity is registered in the external environment of security management.
Therefore, it is more important to efficiently create internal processes within the
security management organizations themselves. One of the ways of the realization
is to apply knowledge management in the practice of security management.
The paper presents the results of the pilot research carried out at the Police
Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague and contributes to the reduction of
the consequences of the security risks through conceptual proposals.
