Right-against-rights actors in Latin America

This dataset contains information on 792 right-against-rights actors—both individuals and organizations—operating across seven Latin American countries: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico. The database also includes transnational actors headquartered either in Latin America or in other regions of the world but active in one or more of these country cases. The study draws on the RARs database, which tracks anti-rights mobilizations to analyze who is involved, where and when they operate, which rights they oppose or defend, how they mobilize, and with what impact. For each actor, the dataset records key attributes regarding tactics, organizational characteristics, leadership and stated goals.
