Watershed Values

This dataset provides an accurate subwatershed (HUC14) rank based on key indicators of watershed condition. This subwatershed-based assessment was utilized to evaluate the integrity and protection needs of Highlands Open Waters. The anaylsis is the direct result of efforts and mandates to determine the amount and type of human development and activity that the ecosystem of the Highlands Region can sustain while still maintaining the overall ecological values thereof, with special reference to surface and ground water quality and supply.
