In practice, the minimum age of employment is adhered to.
A 100 score is earned where all the following conditions are met:
1) no workers below the minimum age are employed, either in the formal or informal sectors, and
2) the government applies sanctions when it finds cases of formal or informal employment of children. Note: Children doing house chores or chores at subsistence-farms are not considered as employed, unless the workload stops them from attending school.

A 50 score is earned where any of the following conditions apply:
1) it's occasionally possible to find children below the minimum age employed, either in formal or informal sectors, or
2) in exceptional cases the government fails to apply sanctions to those who employ children below the minimum age.

A 0 score is earned where at least one of the following conditions apply:
1) it's commonplace for children below the minimum age to work, either in formal or informal sectors, or
2) the government rarely applies sanctions to those who employ children below the minimum age.
