Raw sequence of wolfberry fruit

The aim of our study were to comparatively analyze the transcriptomes of Lycium barbarum L. cultivars 'Ningqi No.1' and Lycium chinense Miller during the maturity stage of fruits to analyze the changes in the gene expression profiles of the two plant varieties and identify differential expression gene associated with the biosynthesis of bioactive compounds. This study provides preliminary evidence for the difference in bioactive ingredients content between different varieties of Lycium chinense at the transcriptional level, and the result may be meaningful for further gene expression and functional genes studies, and molecular breeding of Lycium varieties with enhanced health benefits.
