I?B?-dependent responses in keratinocytes upon Staphylococcus aureus infection

In this study we investigated the transcriptional responses of keratinocyte-derived I?B? (encoded by NFKBIZ) upon infection with the pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) USA300 wildtype strain. Overall design: Primary human keratinocytes were obtained from foreskin. Ctrl and lentiviral NFKBIZ knockdown cells were either treated with S. aureus or murmamyl-dipeptide (MDP) in vitro. Gene expression profile analysis was conducted using data obtained from n=3 RNA samples of each cell line and treatment condition.
