Transcriptome of Dinoponera gigantea

Dinoponera gigantea, one of the largest ant species, was performed to generate a comprehensive catalog of expressed genes. RNA was extracted from whole individuals and sequenced using high-throughput technology to capture a wide range of transcripts. The assembled transcriptome provides insights into genes associated with metabolism, development, behavior, and venom production. This dataset serves as a genomic resource to explore molecular mechanisms underlying eusociality, caste differentiation, and ecological adaptations in ants. The sequencing data will also facilitate comparative studies across Hymenoptera and support future research in evolutionary biology, physiology, and potential biotechnological applications.
