Altered mRNA profile in testis of mice with nonobstructive azoospermia

This project was aimed at explore molecular changes within the testes of nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA). Twelve mice were randomized to the NOA or normal group. Mice in the NOA group were given a single intraperitoneal injection of 40 mg/kg busulfan, while mice in the normal group were treated via the same method with an equal volume of saline. After 28 days, all the mice were euthanized with CO2 euthanasia. One testicle was obtained from each mouse.The testes were used to perform the quality check by Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. After removing unqualified tissue, six NOA and five normal tissues were finally used to perform the mRNA expression sequencing by Illumina HiSeq X-ten Sequencer.
