Gridded CO₂ Emissions and Population for Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam (2000,2005,2010)

Emissions data in this archive are the non-point source estimates from the ODIAC (Open-source Data Inventory for Anthropogenic CO₂) product. ODIAC is a global high-resolution emission data product for fossil fuel carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. The ODIAC is based on spatial disaggregation of CO₂ emission estimates made by the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) at the Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL). The years and region of the data uploaded here match the spatial extent of the gridded, population estimates, presented as people per pixel, also included in the archive. The gridded population data are based on methods described in Stevens, et al., 2015. and are derived from the WorldPop global mosaics (2000-2020), but produced using a model that excludes nighttime lights covariates as input into the model.
