Salmonella gallinarum sequencing

The poultry industry faces severe risks due to Salmonella gallinarum (SG), the causative agent of Fowl Typhoid (FT), leading to high morbidity and mortality in developing countries. In order to examine the antibiotic resistance, virulence, and genetic diversity of 23 Moroccan SG isolates, we initially investigated their clinical symptoms, antibiotic susceptibility, and phenotypic characteristics. Next, using Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), we studied their genomic features.
