资源简介:

Recent work using eROSITA data has highlighted strong X-ray weakness in a sampleof optically/IR variable massive black holes (MBHs) in dwarf galaxies. Here wefocus on a carefully selected sample of 5 dwarf galaxies all exhibitingsignificant optical nuclear variability but all undetected in X-rays. TheseMBHs are found to be X-ray weak even compared to predictions for low-luminosityAGN accreting at 10^(-3)-10^(-2) Edd. which might imply very unusual accretionmodes and duty cycles. We request observations with XMM+VLA to study theemission of these low-luminosity MBHs in comparison with the optical proxieswhich suggest an active nature. Discriminatory constraints can be achieved withonly 10ks on-source with XMM and 20min on-source with VLA. [truncated! Please see actual data for full text]
