Biome-BGCMuSo Simulations of Species-Specific Forest Dynamics and Ecosystem Nutrient Cycling at the Bab Forest Site
收藏资源简介:
The database consists of simulation output generated with a process-based model of vegetation dynamics Biome-BGCMuSo v 6.2 (https://nimbus.elte.hu/bbgc/) for forests dominated by four tree species: oak, beech, pine, and spruce. The study was conducted for the Bab site, a lowland forest in western Slovakia, Europe. The outputs contain time series on selected ecosystem stocks and fluxes, including information on carbon stocks in stem, roots, foliage, litter, soil, and coarse woody debris, carbon fluxes including gross primary production, net primary production, net ecosystem exchange, total, heterotrophic and autotrophic respiration, water fluxes including evaporation, and transpiration covering a period from stand establishment up to present. The simulations were performed with calibrated sets of ecophysiological parameters for the four species with the aim to test the impact of tree species composition change on nutrient cycling at the specific site. The dataset highlights the species-specific differences in productivity and other ecosystem pools including soil, as well as in processes at the specific site under historical climate conditions of the study area.
