Inhibitory Effects of N-trans-Cinnamoyltyramine
收藏资源简介:
N-trans-cinnamoyltyramine (NTCT), identified from the allelopathic Vietnamese rice accession OM 5930, was studied for its effects on the growth of shoots and roots in various plant species, including weeds. Bioassays showed that NTCT strongly inhibited the growth of cress, lettuce, canola, and several weed species, including barnyardgrass and weedy rice, with higher concentrations leading to greater growth reductions. ED50 values were determined through linear regression analysis, highlighting the varying sensitivities of the species, with cress and lettuce being the most sensitive, and weedy rice showing the least sensitivity. These findings suggest that NTCT has significant potential as an eco-friendly herbicide, especially for managing herbicide-resistant weeds. Further research is needed to explore its mechanisms and field applications.
