Time Series Validation dataset for "Shoreline time series analysis through the Isoradiometric Method: bridging Landscape Evolution and coastal management"

This repository contains the dataset used for the validation performed in the related submitted article "Shoreline time series analysis through the Isoradiometric Method: bridging Landscape Evolution and coastal management" Authors: F. Caldareri, N. Parrino, L. Balsamo, G. Dardanelli, S. Todaro, A. Sulli, A. Maltese The linear vector data within the repository are distinguished based on the method used to obtain the shoreline position. 'D' stands for shoreline obtained through manual digitization performed on Google Earth satellite images; 'IM' stands for shoreline obtained through the Isoradiometric Method (Caldareri et. al., 2024, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2024.114286) application on Planetscope and Landsat satellite products. Statistical parameters shown in the tables of the related article were obtained by calculating them on the distances between the vertices extracted on the corresponding shorelines analyzed in pairs.
