Soil temperature and soil water content data for a black spruce forest on permafrost in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Soil temperature and soil moisture were observed at four plots in a black spruce forest on permafrost in Fairbanks, Alaska. The four plots have different soil and vegetation conditions, namely three wet soil plots covered with different vegetation: Sphagnum moss, sedge/Sphagnum moss, alder, and one relatively dry soil plot covered with lichen. At each plot, soil temperature was observed at multiple depths up to 1 m depth using thermistors and a one-meter soil profiler, and soil moisture was observed at multiple depths up to 30 cm depth using time-domain reflectometry sensors.本数据集针对阿拉斯加州费尔班克斯地区永久冻土带的黑云杉林内的四个样地，开展了土壤温度与土壤湿度的原位观测。四个样地的土壤与植被条件存在显著差异：其中3个为湿生土壤样地，分别覆盖有不同植被类型：泥炭藓(Sphagnum moss)、薹草/泥炭藓(Sphagnum moss)、桤木；剩余1个为相对干燥的土壤样地，覆盖植被为地衣。在每个样地中，科研人员采用热敏电阻传感器与1米土壤剖面仪，在最大1米的多个深度层级采集土壤温度数据；同时利用时域反射法(Time-Domain Reflectometry)传感器，在最大30厘米的多个深度层级采集土壤湿度数据。
