GHS-FUA R2019A - GHS functional urban areas, derived from GHS-UCDB R2019A, (2015), R2019A

The spatial dataset delineates the boundaries of Function Urban Areas (FUA) of Urban Centres in 2015. The automatic procedure developed in collaboration with OECD estimates for each populated cells at 1 km (obtained from GHS-POP R2019A) the probability to belong to a Functional Urban Area of a given Urban Centre (GHS-UCDB R2019A). Pixels with probability higher than a calibrated threshold are combined to form the eFUA extent and polygonized to obtain the boundaries.

本空间数据集描绘了2015年各城市中心（Urban Centres）的城市功能区（Function Urban Areas, FUA）边界。本研究与经济合作与发展组织（OECD）合作开发了自动化处理流程：针对取自全球人居环境数据集人口版本R2019A（GHS-POP R2019A）的1千米分辨率人口栅格单元，基于全球人居环境数据集城市中心数据库R2019A（GHS-UCDB R2019A），估算各单元隶属于某一给定城市中心的城市功能区的概率。将概率高于校准阈值的栅格单元进行合并以得到扩展城市功能区（eFUA）的范围，随后通过多边形矢量化处理得到最终边界。
