This dataset covers Tasseled Cap (TC) index imagery with 10-meter spatial resolution over the source region of the Yangtze River from 2019 to 2024. Each year includes TC median data for two periods: summer (May to September) and the full calendar year, with three specific indicators: Brightness Component (TCB), Greenness Component (TCG), and Wetness Component (TCW). As an important analytical method for multispectral remote sensing data, TC transformation can comprehensively reflect surface reflectance characteristics, vegetation growth status, and soil moisture information, and is used to monitor land cover changes and their spatiotemporal dynamic characteristics. The original data is sourced from the European Space Agency's Sentinel-2 L2A (surface reflectance) products, where a maximum cloud cover threshold of 30% was set to remove abnormal pixels such as clouds and cirrus. Subsequently, annual and summer median TC images were calculated using the TC coefficients provided by Shi & Xu (2019) based on Sentinel-2 multispectral bands. The final products are median datasets of the three TC components (TCB, TCG, TCW) for each summer and full year between 2019 and 2024, with a spatial resolution of 10 meters and a coordinate system of WGS84. This dataset primarily supports applications including land cover change monitoring, vegetation growth dynamic assessment, soil moisture analysis, and research on the responses of plateau ecosystems to climate change.
