World Ferns is a comprehensive, synonymized global checklist database for ferns and lycophytes. This database contains 13,274 accepted species, 832 hybrids, 940 accepted infraspecific taxa, and 54,668 synonyms, totaling 69,714 names. It provides complete distribution data (countries and regions) and literature citations, is arranged phylogenetically, fully searchable and continuously updated. This database was compiled by Dr. Michael Hassler independently of other databases over a 40-year period.
