Bacteriobiota diversity of the limestone Rozanec Mithraeum monument (Slovenia)

Mitrej above Rozanec is a limestone monument (in the forest of Judovje, Slovenia), which represents the god Mithras performing the sacrificial act. Since significant biodeterioration was detected on the surface of the relief, primary purpose of the study was to identify the total bacterial community colonizing the Rozanec Mithraeum monument with final aim of developing a safe biocontrol formulation that can be used in conservation treatments. Total bacteriobiota was analyzed by using the NovaSeq 6000 sequencing platform.
