The old Indian, Acu, is tolling the bells of the campanario in the traditional manner in the background. Six pall-bearers carry the flower-covered casket followed by a group of a dozen or more mourners attired principally in European-style dress. The mission is in the background.; 1. The leading pall bearer at the right is Librado Olivares; 2. The leading pall bearer at the left is Don Librado Garcia; 3. Behind Librado Olivares (1) is the San Juan Indian Fedrigo Majel; 4. Behind Librado Garcia (2) is Francisco Rios; 5. Behind Francisco Rios (4) is Matias Velardes; 6. Behind Natial Velardes (6) is Lugarda Jimenez de Sepulveda; 7. Behind Lugarda de Sepulveda (6) is Luz Lechuza, Indian with black shirt; 8. Next to Luz Lechuza (7) is Felicidad Yorba de Aguilar; 9. Next to Felicidad de Aguilar (8) is the San Juan Indian Maria Gomez, mother of the deceased (in black and holding the little daughter of the deceased). -- A. Yorba.
