A Global Collection of Near-Surface Camera Sites with Associated Environmental and Phenological Information

This dataset compiles a global collection of sites from near-surface camera networks, each accompanied by contextual information on environmental conditions and vegetation phenology. The sites span a range of biomes and climate zones, and include general attributes such as soil properties, climate variables, and seasonal vegetation dynamics. The dataset integrates sites from several regional networks, e.g. NSCam, PhenoCam, EPCN, APN, PEN, BPN, IPN. The collection is assembled from various sources and harmonized to provide a broad overview of site conditions, which offers a useful reference for studies involving ecological and agricultural monitoring, remote sensing validation, and vegetation dynamics at different spatial and temporal scales.
