Sports Medicine is a rapidly developing field of clinical medicine focused on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries related to physical activity and sports. The increasing popularity of professional and amateur sports has led to a higher incidence of musculoskeletal injuries, making sports medicine an important component of modern healthcare. This article examines the role of medical support in the prevention and management of sports injuries. Special attention is given to the principles of injury prevention, early diagnosis, acute care, rehabilitation strategies, and return-to-play protocols. The importance of multidisciplinary collaboration among sports physicians, physiotherapists, and coaches is emphasized.
