Distant finetuning with discourse relations for stance classification

A new method to extract data with silver labels from raw text to finetune a system for stance classification has been proposed. The reliance on specific discourse relations in the data extraction has ensured that the extracted silver topic and claim pairs are of high quality and the relations between the extracted pairs are relevant to the stance classification task.
