ISLME (Indonesian Seas Large Marine Ecosystem) Delineation

This data contains the latitude and longitude of ISLME boundaries. The data can be opened in QGIS and ArcGIS software. The Indonesian Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (ISLME) includes the world’s largest archipelagic nation, Indonesia, with a coastline exceeding 54,716 km and an estimated 17,805 islands covering an area of 2.49 million km2, of which 1.49% is protected. The ISLME covers an approximate total of 2,329,816 km² (232 million hectares), with 98% within Indonesia’s territorial waters, and approximately 2% located within the territorial waters of Timor-Leste.
