Drinking Water and PVC Pipe Wall Biofilm from Simulated Distribution Systems Metagenome

Five rotating annular reactors were operated as bench-scale simulated distribution systems, fed with chloraminated tap water from a laboratory fixture at the University of California, Berkeley. Reactors were operated from September 2019 through October 2020. On March 17, 2020, the building was closed for shelter-in-place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a much higher water age in the water feeding the reactors.
