Full-length transcriptome analysis of maize root tips under cold stress

As one of the most important cereal crops, most germplasm of maize is extremely sensitive to low temperature at seedling stage. To illustrate the its molecular mechanism of cold acclimation, we adopted two maize inbred lines of contrasting in cold tolerance at seedling stage (IL85-cold tolerant line, B73-cold sensitive line), and performed full-length transcriptome sequencing on root tips of seedlings with or without cold treatment.
