The most notable changes include: industry output and expenditure item benchmarks updated to 2021, reflecting the annual reconciliation of goods and services flows incorporation of balance of payments and trade data updates. Key points After incorporating all updates and improvements, the 2021 figure for nominal production/income GDP (GDP-P/GDP-I) increased by about $1.3 billion to $327.8 billion compared with last year’s provisional estimate. Last year’s balanced figure for 2020 decreased by $0.5 billion to $323.4 billion. The 2021 figure for nominal expenditure GDP (GDP-E) increased by $0.8 billion compared with last year’s provisional estimate. Last year’s balanced figure for 2020 decreased by $0.5 billion. Updates and improvements impacted the GDP-P/GDP-I time series from March 2018 to March 2021. Updates and improvements impacted the GDP-E time series from March 2016 to March 2021.
