CONTINUATION IHMD64: High-speed X-ray imaging of cavitation bubble nucleation and dynamics in hydrogel-based media near artificial skin phan
收藏资源简介:
The aim of this proposal is to characterise cavitation nucleation and dynamics in different hydrogel-based media near artificial skin-mimicking phantoms with different surface textures using X-ray imaging. The results will contribute to a better understanding of the physical mechanism underlying sonophoresis in transdermal drug delivery. We intend to perform sonophoresis treatments using low frequency ultrasound generated by an ultrasonic horn (1) in different hydrogel-based coupling media, to characterise their contribution to cavitation dynamics, and (2) on artificial phantoms mimicking different skin surface textures, to address the effect of skin pores and lines on cavitation nucleation. We will use all elments exactly the same as in IHMD64.
