Freshwater stream filtered water and sediment samples from Tuckahoe Creek, Virginia, USA Targeted loci environmental

These samples represent sequences obtained from metabarcode sequencing of eDNA in filtered water and sediment samples taken from Tuckahoe Creek, Virginia. eDNA was amplified with two metabarcoding markers intended to be specific for freshwater fishes, targeting regions of the mitochondrial cytb and 12S genes. The fish community recovered through eDNA was compared to concurrent electrofishing surveys, and historical data.
