Improving Methods to Measure Attentiveness through Driver Monitoring (05-091)

Project Description: This project focused on developing methods for measuring driver attentiveness using kinematic data from the vehicle and also a driver monitoring system (DMS) which provided real-time gaze location. Data Scope: The data consists of a single Excel spreadsheet containing timeseries data for 2082 epochs of driving data. The variables available consist of speed, brake pressed, throttle pressed, and an estimation of the driver’s attentiveness during that epoch according to a number of the algorithms we developed.
