Concurrent Validity of newly developed items for the Physical, Psychosocial and Skill related fitness scale in school young children

This data set presents data collected to establish the concurrent validity of newly developed items (Diamond Sitting Test, Backward Elbow Reach Test ,To and Fro Agility test ,Dual Hand Ball Coordination Test and Psychosocial Questionnaire) included in a comprehensive scale addressing physical ,psychosocial and skill related fitness in school going children aged 10-16 years .The new items covering physical fitness(Diamond sitting test, Backward Elbow Reach Test),Psychosocial assessment(Psychosocial Questionnaire) and Skill related fitness(To and Fro Agility Test ,Dual Hand Ball Coordination Test) were compared against established criterion tools such as Sit and Reach Test ,Apley’s Scratch Test, Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire,5-0-5 Agility Test and Alternate Hand Wall Toss Test respectively.
