Transcriptional analyses of the Erythrobacter litoralis DSM 8509 general stress response system

We measured steady-state transcript levels in 1) wild-type E. litoralis DSM 8509, 2) a nepR-ecfG deletion strain (?nepR-ecfG), 3) a phyR deletion strain (?phyR), 4) a lovK-lovR deletion strain (?lovKR), and 5) a gsrK-gsrP deletion strain (?gsrK?gsrP) cultivated in constant white light or in constant dark conditions. Overall design: Cultures of Erythrobacter litoralis DSM 8509 wild-type and mutant strains were grown in 0.5x marine broth in the presence or absence of white light.
