The effects of magnetite and biochar particles on the anaerobic digestion of systems fed with acetate, glucose, or cellulose were tested to gain insights into their roles in the process. Studies reveal that biochar and magnetite have a stimulant effect on hydrolisis, fermentative, methanogenic and DIET pathways.
