资源简介:
Synechococcus has a ubiquitous distribution, and has the capability to adapt to nearly every aquatic environment. Many marine and coastal Synechococcus strains have been sequenced, but only recently have estuarine strains been completed. Synechococcus cells survive at very low temperatures, but little is known about how they survive brackish waters that are nearly 0 degrees C. Psychrotolerant, or cold adapted, Synechococcus were isolated between December, 2010 and February, 2011. Of these Chesapeake Bay winter isolates, four sequences were completed: CBW1002, CBW1004, CBW1006, and CBW1108.
