Erziehungsberatung mit Migrantenfamilien Counseling help for immigrant families

Für die Qualität und die Effektivität der psychologischen Beratungsarbeit mit Migrantenfamilien ist es entscheidend, daß die Beratungsfachkräfte migrations- und kulturspezifische Konstellationen in ihrer Wirkung auf das Problemverhalten und auf die therapeutische Beziehung erkennen und daß sie ihre therapeutische Ansätze an die Verständniswelt der Klienten anpassen können. An drei kurzen Fallbeispielen wird dargestellt, wie ein interkultureller Ansatz in der Familienberatung aussehen kann. The quality and efficency in the process of psychological counseling with migrant families depends on the counselor's insight in the constellations of migration and culture. Both have a special influence on the way of coping with problems and the relation between client and counselor during the therapy. It is therefore necessary to adapt the own therapeutical approach to the migrant's experiences and abilities of comprehension.
