<b>Relapse in Alcohol Use Disorder: A Single-Center Prospective Cohort Study in a Sample of Alcohol Dependents Over a 1-Year Period</b>

This prospective cohort study focuses at relapse after an in-patient alcohol detoxification process in a real-world Mediterranean setting. The researchers wanted to fill in the gaps in longitudinal data from Southern Europe on the risk of relapse, the dynamics of craving, and the clinical usefulness of follow-up programs by observing 67 patients for at least one year. The study utilized structured self-report methodologies that have been modified to better align with Greek culture, such as the Greek OCDS, the Greek AUDIT and a calendar-based alcohol use tracking instrument.
