Dataset and R scripts for the integrative review "From Avoided Externalities to Payment for Environmental Services: Design Conditions for Inclusive Urban Recycling"

This dataset supports the integrative review "From Avoided Externalities to Payment for Environmental Services: Design Conditions for Inclusive Urban Recycling", submitted for publication. It contains the R scripts and data used to characterise and screen the literature retrieved from ScienceDirect, Scopus and SpringerLink (January 2020 to March 2026): 01_bibliometric_analysis.R: import of the BibTeX exports, identification of duplicates and preparation of the data set used in biblioshiny; 02_screening_text_mining.R: text-mining screening of the full texts for the terms of the four analytical dimensions (payment for environmental services; economic valuation; social innovation and inclusive business at the Base of the Pyramid; solid waste management); bibliographic metadata of the 1,268 records analysed, annual scientific output and most productive countries; screening results for the 1,057 full texts processed and the list of unreadable files; the 76 studies included in the review, with their allocation to the analytical dimensions, and the 20 records excluded at full-text reading, with the reasons for exclusion. Raw database exports and full texts are not redistributed due to licensing restrictions. See README.txt for the selection flow, file descriptions and software versions.
