The associations between brood size, gut microbiome and survival in Great tit (Parus major) nestlings

The goal of this study was to investigate whether brood size contributes to great tit nestling gut microbiome diversity and if gut microbiome diversity predicts survival to fledging and survival to juvenile. This study was conducted with wild great tits contributing to the limited knowledge we have on wild avian gut microbiomes.
