We constructed C<sub>4</sub> and C<sub>3</sub> herbaceous crops and non-crop grasses across the contiguous U.S. from 2000 to 2019. The zip file includes four sub-files and one map of grid cell area. Four sub-files are C<sub>3</sub> crop layers, C<sub>4</sub> crop layers, C<sub>3</sub> non-crop grass layers, and C<sub>4</sub> non-crop grass layers. In the later two files, MMT and MMAXT represent the two different crossover temperature models that were used to predict the spatial distribution of C<sub>4</sub> or C<sub>3</sub> non-crop grasses. In the zip file, all data layers are in TIF format. The unit for all is km<sup>2</sup> grid<sup>-1</sup>.
