Images and Text from a Watching Brief at 14 Marygate York, North Yorkshire, November 2023

This collection consists of images and text from a watching brief by Archaeological Services WYAS, at 14 Margate, York, North Yorkshire. The archaeological watching brief did not identify archaeological features. The works demonstrated a substantial layer of topsoil cover the majority of the site which overlay a series of cultivated soil layers, some of which contained fragments of later medieval pottery and ceramic building material. Evidence of more recent demolition and disturbance was also exposed.
