NPKGRIDS

We distribute in NPKGRIDS 173 georeferenced files in the NetCDF format (.NC), each reporting the crop-specific application rate of N, P2O5, and K2O fertilizers. The NC files contain the application rate in kg/ha-crop, the data quality, and the source data of the crop-nutrient pair. The geographic domain has a bounding box of (-180W, 180E) in longitude and (-90S, 90N) in latitude at a resolution of 0.05 degree per grid cell (i.e., ~5.55 km at the equator). All variables use the WGS84 coordinate system (Table 1). The 173 crop types have the same names as in Monfreda et al., (2008) but exclude coir and gums.

本研究发布的NPKGRIDS数据集包含173个带地理参考的NetCDF格式（.NC）文件，各文件均记录了对应作物的氮肥（N）、五氧化二磷（P2O5）与氧化钾（K2O）化肥施用量。这些NC文件包含以kg/ha-作物为单位的化肥施用量数据、数据质量信息，以及作物-养分组合的源数据。该数据集的地理覆盖范围的经纬度边界框为：经度范围(-180°W, 180°E)，纬度范围(-90°S, 90°N)，栅格单元分辨率为0.05度/格（赤道处约合5.55千米）。所有变量均采用WGS84坐标系（详见表1）。本次纳入的173种作物名称与Monfreda等人2008年的研究一致，但剔除了椰壳纤维（coir）与树胶（gums）两类作物。
