This dataset was collected to examine how algorithmic management shapes platform workers’ psychological contracts and work behaviors. Targeting food-delivery couriers and ride-hailing drivers in major Chinese cities, we recruited active workers through industry WeChat/QQ groups. A three-wave time-lagged survey gathered data on perceived algorithmic management, humanization cues, psychological contract orientations, time commitment, and advocacy behaviors. All participants had at least three months of continuous platform experience, provided informed consent, and completed attention-check–embedded questionnaires. The final matched sample includes 431 valid respondents.
