新疆天山地区的上三叠统至下侏罗统发育有丰富的动植物化石,是我国西北中生代陆地生物群的代表性化石产地。对它们的发掘和研究,不仅将进一步丰富这些生物群的物种分异度记录、促进古生物系统分类研究,还对探索中国中生代陆地生态系统分异和演化、完善区域生物地层序列、划分三叠系-侏罗系界线具有重要意义。本数据集收集了中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所地层古生物科考队在第二次青藏科考期间对这些地层开展化石采集和研究的剖面柱状图,包括托克逊艾尔沟等2个地点,其顺序按照时代有老到新排列。它们的位置、化石层位及研究目的如下。 1、托克逊艾维尔沟下侏罗统八道湾组剖面 GPS:N 42°59'26.31",E 87°33'26.16" 化石层位:八道湾组顶部黑色泥岩 时代:早侏罗世,可能为普林斯巴期 研究目的和意义:昆虫群多样性与古生态、地层时代 2、托克逊克尔碱附近上三叠统黄山街组剖面 GPS:N 43°18′9.63″,E 88°26′11.55″ 化石层位:黄山街组中段黄绿色泥岩 时代:晚三叠世早期,可能为卡尼期 研究目的和意义:昆虫群分类与系统演化

The Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic strata in the Tianshan region of Xinjiang are abundant in plant and animal fossils, serving as a representative fossil locality for Mesozoic terrestrial biotas in northwest China. Excavation and research on these fossils will not only further enrich the species diversity records of these biotas and promote paleontological systematic taxonomy studies, but also be of great significance for exploring the differentiation and evolution of Mesozoic terrestrial ecosystems in China, improving regional biostratigraphic sequences, and demarcating the Triassic-Jurassic boundary. This dataset collects stratigraphic section logs from fossil collection and research conducted by the Stratigraphic and Paleontological Expedition Team of the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, during the Second Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition Program. It includes two localities arranged in chronological order from older to younger: the Tuokexun Aiweigou section and the Upper Triassic Huangshanjie Formation section near Tuokexun Ke'erjian. The locations, fossil horizons, and research objectives of these sections are as follows: 1. Lower Jurassic Badaowan Formation section at Tuokexun Aiweigou GPS coordinates: N 42°59'26.31", E 87°33'26.16" Fossil horizon: Black mudstone at the top of the Badaowan Formation Age: Early Jurassic, possibly Pliensbachian Research objectives and significance: Insect community diversity and paleoecology, stratigraphic age 2. Upper Triassic Huangshanjie Formation section near Tuokexun Ke'erjian GPS coordinates: N 43°18'9.63", E 88°26'11.55" Fossil horizon: Yellowish-green mudstone in the middle part of the Huangshanjie Formation Age: Early Late Triassic, possibly Carnian Research objectives and significance: Insect taxonomy and systematic evolution
